DIY Sauerkraut - Fermenting foods for health and fun

Learn to make your own sauerkraut! Find out how to make this ancient recipe that nourishes your gut and impresses your taste buds!

You'll walk away with your own quart of soon-to-be sauerkraut. Leave it out on your counter for 1-2 weeks, then refrigerate for 1-2 weeks for perfection! This easy recipe can be adapted for use with other vegetables such as cauliflower, turnips, napa cabbage and more.


  • Organic produce: cabbage, carrots, ginger, apple
  • Salt
  • Recipe
  • 1 Quart jar to take home your sauerkraut

You bring:

  • Salad bowl for mixing (about 3.5 quarts or larger)
