Stacey’s Perspective

I am a psychotherapist and trauma informed yoga therapist in Denver, CO, and owner of Mindful Awakening Counseling & Wellness.  A free 30-minute consultation is available for you as an opportunity to meet one another, discuss any questions you have, and a time for you to share your reasons for seeking therapy. We will work together to explore your identified reasons and needs.

Challenges and struggles may include/not limited to depression, anxiety, stress, self-identity/existential issues, developmental trauma, relationships, body image, role of female, distorted self worth & self love, relationship with body, and unwanted patterns and/or thoughts.

As a trauma informed yoga therapist, a safe space is created to support symptoms related to anxiety, stress, and trauma. Through the teachings of yoga techniques and philosophy, neuroscience, and breath, our work together assists in your learning of self-regulation, breathing techniques, and change in response to triggers. Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy uses movement, breath, neurophysiology, and Eastern teachings to support the re-wiring of neural pathways in the brain to help resolve traumatic memories and activate the parasympathetic nervous system, our rest and digest state of being.

I am a facilitator for the Overcome Anxiety Clinic offering clinics (Overcome Anxiety: A Natural & Holistic Approach) in Denver, CO. The clinic is a 4-part series offered over the course of 8 weeks. It is designed to help people overcome chronic anxiety through gaining control of your inner peace. 

Approaches and modalities include: Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy, Overcome Anxiety Project, Trauma-Informed, Attachment Based, Developmental, Relational, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Transpersonal, and Mindfulness
